For the past few months, I have been rediscovering my love of French/Francophone music while I work on getting inspired for Raffia's upcoming milestones. Among others things, we are working on a Spring/Summer 2017 collection, out in December, welcoming new members to our team, and growing in lots of fun ways - which we'll reveal gradually :)
This summer, when I was in London for our Sapellé-hosted pop-up shop, I had Mokobé's "J'ai trop dansé" on repeat. It's an anthem for die-hard party people who dance until it hurts...literally. I've been there.
Djany is a new favourite of mine. She's Franco-Congolese and brilliant. "J'ai déconné-Remix" is fun and playful song about a phone conversation with a regretful ex. Basically, she tells him #boybye.
The last goodie I'll share is by Franco-Congolese duo The Shin Sekaï. "Alter Ago" is a love song about finding the person who brings out the best in you. Now, isn't that something to be inspired by?
I hope you enjoyed a tiny glimpse into the soundtrack to our creative process.
